2. Start the Matching Process

- Click the FamilySearch hint icon or hint link within the tree viewer or editing panel.
- Right-click on the person within the tree viewer and choose Match Person to FamilySearch.
3. Review Search Results
- The Web Search workspace will show a list of FamilySearch search results.
- Browse through the information in the Search result detail area.
- If the correct person is found, click the Match button.
4. Confirm the Match
- A message box will open, describing the People with FamilySearch feature.
- If you don’t want to display this message again, select the box for Do not show again.
- Click Match to FamilySearch to continue.
5. Access Matched Person Information
- The Web Search workspace will refresh to display the FamilySearch profile of the matched individual.
- You will have a link to view hints and possible historical records for the person.

- The FamilySearch ID fact will be attached to the individual’s profile in FTM 2019 and shown in the Index and editing panel.
